Key Developmental Milestones (8-10)

This is an exciting age for young readers and one that many of our most beloved children’s books cater for.

Critical thinking and deeper comprehension come into play. Children can read and understand more sophisticated plots and explore more advanced themes like identity, justice, and problem-solving.

Fantasy, Mystery, and Adventure books are particularly popular at this age and are a great way for children to understand the world around them. Longer chapter books become more accessible and they are likely to become more attached to certain genres and authors.
