Things I love - November 2017
Halloween is over, Bonfire night has passed, and the countdown to Christmas is on again! As the Autumn leaves continue to spiral to the ground, Winter is just around the corner and I for one am moving into that holiday feeling.
Here are just a few of the things that have been making my November super gorgeous:
Other things I've been loving are:
I wrote about this years Strictly Come Dancing last week and why this year it's a real inspiration for women over 40. More than any other year it's made me seriously want to learn to dance, mainly for fun but it's also a great way to add years to your life as it gets the brain working due to all the new steps you have to learn and, of course, it keeps you fit, as well as being a sociable activity (and a good social life is also proven to boost longevity) - so pretty perfect really! Whilst I'm a huge fan of Debbie McGee's dancing, this routine by Susan Calman (44) and Kevin Clifton is one that would inspire even the most anti-dance person to want to get up and boogie.
Dates and commitments are already flooding in for next year (including my son leaving home for 3 months in the mountains & jungle to train for his dream job!!). This is my all time favourite family calendar and is the only thing that keeps me even vaguely organised with everyone's plans. I love that it goes from August through to December the following year so you can get a head start on organising.
My favourite instagram account this month is by Lucy Blenkinsopp (who wrote this fab article for us on yoga after 40). @Tea.With.Lucy.B is full of fun and wisdom - plus Lucy is one woman who will ABSOLUTLEY inspire you to get in great shape after 40.
As well as Strictly I've been tuning into David Attenborough's Blue Planet 2. The footage and camera work is extraordinary and the information being shared is unbelievable: fish that change gender, lakes at the bottom of the ocean... talk about mind being blown! If you've missed it you can catch up on BBC iplayer
And lastly, I've been really loving the feedback on our first online course (thank you so much), if you haven't had a chance to take a look and join in yet then you'll find it over here.
